The agency’s legacy application faced critical limitations, including poor UI responsiveness, inefficient approval workflows, and outdated security and role management. These issues hindered productivity, delayed case management, and risked non-compliance.
InApp worked with the agency to align upgrades with operational and compliance needs. The team modernized the application, digitized paper-based processes, streamlined approvals, and upgraded the workflow engine from JBPM 3 to JBPM 7. The team also refactored the architecture for modular expansion and implemented automated testing pipelines to ensure defect-free releases.
The agency achieved up to 70% in cost savings, operational efficiency, accessibility, and compliance readiness, enabling it to better serve its constituents.
Miracle Foundation is a global non-profit organization founded with a transformative mission for families and every child. The organization focuses on ending the need for orphanages worldwide and ensuring that children grow up in safe, stable, and permanent family environments.
Miracle Foundation aimed to modernize and unify tools supporting child welfare programs by enhancing the digital platform, replacing outdated systems, and providing integrated web, mobile, and backend engineering through a full-stack team.
InApp collaborated closely with Miracle Foundation to design the core components of the digital tool, which measure safety, family permanence, and risk indicators; design a communication hub connecting foster parents and caseworkers to improve timely support for children; and provide end-to-end development across backend, frontend, web, and mobile applications.
The organization achieved improved collaboration among caregivers, caseworkers, and families, strengthened transitions from institutional to family-based care, and developed a digital ecosystem for child welfare programs.
The Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants promotes the full participation of refugees and immigrants as self-sufficient individuals and families in Massachusetts' economic, social, and civic life.
Analyze the existing business logic, validation, and data mapping in the RISIS source code and document the findings in detail.
InApp worked closely with the organization to review RISIS code, including a functional review and a detailed technical review of the Java code, define business rules, and define data structures, including documentation of the current database structures and relationships for the prioritized components.
